Kansas City Roos basketball falls to Morehead State in Eracism Invitational

The Kansas City Roos fell behind in the first half on Saturday night and were never able to catch up.

Skyelar Potter had 20 points for Morehead State in the 70-62 victory over the Roos in the Eracism Invitational hosted by Arkansas State.

Anderson Kopp had 17 points for the Roos (3-3). Josiah Allick added 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists, while Marvin Nesbitt Jr. had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Kansas City played itself into a 34-25 hole in the first half. But the difference in Saturday’s game was ultimately settled at the free-throw line, where Morehead State made 18 of 25 shots, and the Roos 4 of 7.

Morehead State improved to 4-3, while the Roos dropped to 3-3.

Kansas City will face Arkansas State on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
