Hidde Roessink, who appeared in 20 games for Oklahoma State last season, has transferred to UMKC and will eventually play for the KC Roos.

The 6-foot-10 Roessink averaged 6.9 minutes and 1.3 rebounds for the Cowboys in 2019-20. He won’t be eligible to play during the upcoming season but will have three years of eligibility remaining.

He’s a native of The Netherlands who appeared in 20 games as a freshman, including one against the KC Roos, and scored a season-high six points against Wichita State.

Roessink is the sixth member of coach Billy Donlon’s recruiting class. The KC Roos also signed 6-7 forward Jonathan Bolden of Havest, Ala.; Caden Boser, a 6-8 forward from Eau Claire, Wis., 6-1 Tyre Boykin of White Oak, N.C., and a pair of Kansas City players — Kaimen Lennox, a 6-2 guard from Truman High, and 6-2 guard D’Anthony Pennington from North Kansas City.

The Kangaroos finished 16-14 in Donlan’s first season, the program’s first winning record since 2017.

Another player who has suited up for Oklahoma State has entered the transfer portal. Yor Anei, who played at Lee’s Summit West and Shawnee Mission South, is a shot-blocking specialist who averaged 2.27 blocks in two seasons with the Cowboys.
