UMKC men lose to Utah Valley 86-76 in WAC action

Despite LaVell Boyd’s 22 points, UMKC came up short against Utah Valley in an 86-76 loss Saturday in Orem, Utah.

Xavier Bishop and Broderick Newbill both scored 14 points for the Kangaroos (9-11, 2-2 in Western Athletic Conference).

UMKC trailed 35-31 at halftime.

Brandon Randolph scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Wolverines (9-9, 1-2). Conner Toolson added 13 points for Utah Valley.
