Keith Shamburger compiles 11 assists for the Tigers

Keith Shamburger, who has averaged 3.3 assists through the first 21 games, had 11 assists in Missouri’s 62-49 loss to Alabama on Wednesday night.

Along with his two field goals, he was part of 13 of the team’s 18 total baskets made.

“Keith can make plays,” head coach Kim Anderson said. “He had 11 assists, and he can made plays for our big guys, and that’s what we need.”

First half

▪ Key play: MU was down by four with 18 seconds left in the half, Jakeenan Gant slammed in a dunk to cut the lead to two points for the halftime break.

▪ Key stat: Despite being outscored in the paint 12-8, Alabama was able to maintain a two-point halftime lead thanks to four made three-pointers, three of which came within two and a half minutes.

Second half

▪  Key play: Levi Randolph hit a jumper with 16:28 to go in the second half, giving Alabama a 34-28 lead and capping a 6-0 run for Alabama before Mizzou called a timeout.

▪  Key stat: Alabama made 18 of its 24 second-half free throw attempts, whereas Missouri only had 13 total-free throw attempts for the game.
