Missouri announces two-game football series with Eastern Michigan

Missouri has agreed to a two-game football series with Eastern Michigan for the 2016 and 2020 seasons.

Both games will be played at Memorial Stadium.

The Tigers, which announced the games Tuesday, will host Eastern Michigan on Sept. 10, 2016, and Sept. 26, 2020.

Missouri won the only previous meeting 44-24 on Sept. 6, 1997, in Columbia.

The Tigers previously announced a Sept. 3, 2016, game at West Virginia but have two more nonconference dates to fill that season.

MU also had two nonconference dates to fill in 2020. The Tigers will play at BYU on Nov. 7 that season.

Missouri has two open dates in 2017 and 2019 with one open date for a nonconference opponent unfilled in 2018.

The Tigers also announced that spring practice will begin March 10 with its annual Black and Gold spring game set for 4 p.m. on April 18.
