Kickoff times set for two Missouri football games
Kickoff times and broadcast information for the bookend games of Missouri football’s 2016 season were announced Wednesday and both are set for a national audience.
The Tigers’ first game under new coach Barry Odom at West Virginia on Sept. 3 will kickoff at 11 a.m. and be televised on Fox Sports 1.
Odom’s first regular season will conclude with the Battle Line Rivalry game against Arkansas, which has been moved to Nov. 25, the Friday after Thanksgiving.
It’s the third straight season the game versus the Razorbacks, which will be played at Memorial Stadium in Columbia this season, has been moved from Saturday and once again will kick off at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
Missouri opens the season in Morgantown, W.Va., in the sixth meeting against West Virginia.
The Tigers lead the all-time series 3-2 against the Mountaineers, including a 34-31 win in the most recent meeting during the 1998 Insight.com Bowl.
The game marks the seventh morning road game since Missouri joined the Southeastern Conference in 2012.
The Tigers are 5-1 in those games, the last being a 2014 win at Toledo.
Missouri is 4-3 all-time versus Arkansas, including a 21-14 win at Memorial Stadium that clinched the SEC East in 2014 and a 28-3 loss in Gary Pinkel’s final game last season in Fayetteville.
