▪ WHEN/WHERE: 5 p.m. Saturday at Mizzou Arena in Columbia

▪ TV/RADIO: SEC Network; KMBZ (980 AM)

▪ ABOUT MISSOURI (7-9, 1-2 SEC): The Tigers are on a two-game losing streak, including the third-worst defeat in program history by 49 points Tuesday at Kentucky, but the last home game produced an overtime upset against LSU. Missouri hopes to tap into that Mizzou Arena magic despite being shorthanded again without Montaque Gill-Caesar (back spasms) and Deuce Bello (academic suspension). The Tigers must find a way to handle the Vols’ frenetic, pressing defense without turning the ball over. MU also needs to exploit the edge it should have on the boards.

▪ ABOUT TENNESSEE (10-5, 2-1 SEC): The Volunteers are slightly more efficient on offense, but Tennessee and Missouri mirror one another in many ways. Both are in the first season under new coaches. Much like Kim Anderson’s Tigers, Donnie Tyndall’s Vols have taken some lumps, including a 56-38 loss against Alabama last Saturday at home that snapped a five-game win streak. Senior guard Josh Richardson will be the best player on the floor. The Tigers must find a way to keep him out of the paint and force Tennessee’s other players, including former MU commit Kevin Punter, to beat them.
