Mizzou officially adds Harry Ballard III to 2016 football recruiting class
On the final day of the NCAA regular signing period for football, Missouri added one final piece to its 2016 recruiting class.
McCluer North senior wide receiver Harry Ballard III from St. Louis signed a national letter of intent Friday afternoon with the Tigers, giving first-year head coach Barry Odom 22 players in his first class.

Ballard is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound speedster is a good route-runner with strong hands and special-teams upside. He made 32 catches for 606 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, adding another 395 yards and four touchdowns in 30 carries.
Ballard won the Missouri Class 5 long jump last season (23 feet, 2 3/4 inches) and joins three other receivers in Mizzou’s 2016 class — graduate transfer Chris Black from Alabama, junior college transfer Dominic Collins from Saddleback Community College in California and true freshman Dimetrios Mason from Loganville, Ga.
Ballard, a consensus three-star prospect who committed to Mizzou on Feb. 9 after academic issues, also had offers from Illinois and Iowa State. He is the No. 90 wide receiver in the 2016, according to Rivals, and checks in at No. 152 on 247 Sports’ wide receiver list and No. 162 on Scout’s wideout ranking.
Missouri may not be done adding to its class.
Running back Chase Abbington and offensive lineman Malik Cuellar quit the team during spring football and Odom indicated its possible the Tigers will fill those vacated scholarships before fall camp.
Another offensive lineman, Blue Valley graduate Clay Rhoades, remains away from the team because of a family matter and his status for the 2016 season is unclear.
