Former Mizzou offensive lineman Connor McGovern’s Senior Bowl experience will be shorter than he’d like.

During the first day of the South squad’s practice Tuesday, McGovern suffered a injury during one-on-one drills. He was treated by doctors on the sideline and sent to the hospital, where he underwent an MRI that revealed a hamstring injury.

McGovern will return to Michael Johnson Performance in McKinney, Texas, to begin rehabbing in preparation for the NFL Combine, which will be held Feb. 23-29 in Indianapolis.

McGovern, a three-year starter for Mizzou — two at right guard and one at left tackle — is rated as the ninth-best offensive guard in the 2016 NFL draft by ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. He is projected as a late-round pick by CBS Sports.
