▪ ABOUT AUBURN (7-6, 1-1 SEC): Coach Bruce Pearl’s squad opened SEC play with a solid victory against Tennessee before falling against unbeaten South Carolina. Both games were at home, so this is Auburn’s first foray into enemy territory in conference play. Junior guard Kareem Canty, a transfer from Marshall, leads the Tigers in scoring, but four other players also average in double figures — Tyler Harris (15.0), T.J. Dunans (12.4), Cinmeon Bowers (11.5) and Bryce Brown (10.2). Bowers and Harris also combined for more than 17 rebounds per game. Dunans is sidelined with a bruised knee.

▪ ABOUT MISSOURI (7-7, 0-1 SEC): Coach Kim Anderson’s squad has lost nine straight against high-major competition, including all seven such games this season. The good news? The last time Missouri beat a power-five opponent was a 63-61 win against Auburn in the final home game last season. It was one of three conference wins for the Tigers. Freshman Kevin Puryear, who scored 19 in Wednesday’s loss at Georgia, has reached double figures in 10 of 14 games this season.
