▪ WHEN/WHERE: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga.

▪ TV/RADIO: SEC Network; KMBZ (98.1 FM)

▪ ABOUT MISSOURI (7-6, 0-0 SEC): The Tigers rank well nationally by several defensive measures. Coach Kim Anderson’s squad is 21st among 351 teams, allowing only 21.6 made field goals per game, and 24th overall, permitting opponents to shoot only 41.9 percent on two-point field goals. That bodes well against a Georgia team that ranks 164th in NCAA Division I men’s basketball with a 49.7 effective field-goal percentage.

▪ ABOUT GEORGIA (7-4, 0-1 SEC): Sophomore forward Yante Maten averaged 5.0 points and 4.3 rebounds last season for the Bulldogs. He has emerged as a force inside for coach Mark Fox this season, leading Georgia in both scoring and rebounding with 16.6 points and 7.5 boards. “I didn’t remember him a whole lot from last year,” Anderson said at Monday’s press conference. “I know him now, though. … He’s really become an excellent basketball player.”
