▪ ABOUT MISSOURI (3-3): Missouri scored a season-high 88 points Tuesday in a win against Arkansas State. Of course, the Tigers also gave up a season-worst 78 points. Northern Illinois doesn’t shoot the ball well (46.5 percent overall), especially from three-point range (34.9 percent), but both marks are better than Missouri, which shoots 43.1 percent overall and 32.7 percent from distance.
▪ ABOUT NORTHERN ILLINOIS (7-0): The Huskies are undefeated, but the highest-ranked opponent on the schedule so far was Wright State, which checks in at No. 198 in Ken Pomeroy’s rankings. The Huskies aren’t big but boast a plus-12.3 rebounding margin, but consider the strength of schedule here. Guard Michael Orris played in 15 games as a freshman at Kansas State in 2012-2013.
