Former Missouri receiver Lawrence Lee arrested
Former Missouri wide receiver Lawrence Lee was arrested by University of Missouri police Wednesday on two counts of second-degree burglary and one count of felony stealing.
He was booked at Boone County Jail and released Wednesday evening on $13,500 bond.
Tigers coach Gary Pinkel announced Nov. 24 that Lee — a 5-foot-11, 175-pound freshman from Pensacola, Fla. — had been dismissed from the team for disciplinary reasons.
It’s unclear what role, if any, Lee’s alleged burglary played in his dismissal.
According to MU police, Lee stole a laptop from the South Hall dormitory on Nov. 10 or 11. Two days later, Lee is alleged to have stolen a video game and controller from the same dorm.
He became the focus of the MU police investigation Tuesday after allegedly stealing an iPhone from a locker room at the Mizzou Athletic Training Center that afternoon.
Lee played in eight games for the Tigers, recording two catches for 7 yards as a true freshman.
