Missouri midfielder Kaysie Clark chosen for US women’s under-23 national team

Missouri midfielder Kaysie Clark was among 26 players selected Tuesday to train with the US women’s under-23 national team June 7-14 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.

Clark, a Liberty graduate, previously played for the under-16, 17, 18 and 20 national teams as well. She was part of the 2010 under-17 squad that qualified for the youth Women’s World Cup.

As a junior last season, Clark was selected first-team All-SEC and earned second-team all-region honors after scoring six goals with three assists for the Tigers.

She has 12 goals and 11 assists in 60 career games.

Clark was joined by three other SEC players, all defenders — Kentucky’s Arin Gilliland and Florida teammates Kristin Grubka and Christen Westphal.
