MU women picked seventh in preseason SEC media poll
Missouri’s women were picked seventh in the 2015-16 SEC women’s basketball preseason media poll, which was announced Tuesday.
South Carolina was dubbed the favorite with 265 total points, edging second-place Tennessee by 17 points.
The Gamecocks and Volunteers were co-champions of the conference last season.
Missouri also checked in behind Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Kentucky and Mississippi.
Three South Carolina players, including preseason player of the year Tiffany Mitchell, were selected to the preseason All-SEC team. Mitchell was joined by teammates Alaina Coates and A’ja Wilson.
Kentucky’s Makayla Epps, Mississippi State’s Victoria Vivians and Tennessee’s Diamond DeShields also made the team.
