Missouri’s basketball opener only available to watch online
Hoping to watch Missouri open the Kim Anderson era on TV tonight?
Tigers fans are out of luck, because the 2014-15 season opener at 8 p.m. Friday against UMKC is only available on SEC Network+.
SEC Network+ is an online-only service, which will carry three MU games this season.
Missouri’s games against UMKC, Oral Roberts on Nov. 19 and Southeast Missouri State on Dec. 2 will be available only through WatchESPN.com or on tablets and smartphones via the WatchESPN app.
Online access to ESPN and SEC Network content is free with most cable and satellite television subscriptions by logging in and providing subscription information.
But DirecTV does not have a deal with ESPN for its streaming service, so WatchESPN and SEC Network+ are not available to its subscribers.
The game will be available here shortly before tipoff.
