Marcus Murphy moves up to second on Missouri’s career all-purpose yards list
Only Jeremy Maclin has gained more career all-purpose yards at Missouri than senior running back/return specialist Marcus Murphy.
Murphy totaled 108 all-purpose yards Saturday in a 20-10 win against Kentucky, passing former Tigers quarterback Brad Smith for second place on the program’s all-time list.
Maclin’s record (5,609) is probably out of reach, but nobody else totaled more yards than Murphy’s 4,464. He owns the most career return yards 2,686 in Tigers history as well as the most return touchdowns (seven).
▪ Junior kicker Andrew Baggett moved into fourth place all-time in Missouri history in points scored with a pair of field goals and a pair of extra points versus the Wildcats.
Baggett, a Lee’s Summit North graduate, now has 254 career points, passing Zack Abron for with a 21-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
▪ Missouri senior wide receiver Darius White sat out for the fourth time in five games with a groin injury.
