Contract for MU’s Kim Anderson is five years at $1.1 million guaranteed

New Missouri men’s basketball coach Kim Anderson’s will make at least $1.1 million per season on a five-year contract.

Anderson’s official contract won’t be released for 10-14 days, but MU athletic director Mike Alden said Anderson’s base salary will be $300,000 a year with an additional $800,000 in guaranteed money. Anderson also will receive $100,000 per year in deferred money and heavy incentives that could push his salary above $2 million to a maximum of $2.4 million a year.

According to state records, Anderson made $150,000 as Central Missouri’s head coach in 2012-13. His predecessor at MU, Frank Haith, was to make $1.7 million in 2013-14. Haith became the head coach at Tulsa on April 18.
