Jabari Brown still has a shot to be Missouri’s first player to average 20 points per game

Key play:Missouri fought hard and went into the break tied at 29-29 after junior Jordan Clarkson broke down the defense and found sophomore Ryan Rosburg for a game-tying jam as time expired.

Key stat:The Tigers outshot Florida, played close to even on the boards and limited turnovers, but the Gators went six of 12 from three-point range. Missouri was only one of seven from long distance.
Second half•
Key play:SEC player of the year Scottie Wilbekin stole a Keanau Post inbounds pass after a bucket by Will Yeguete. He threw it back to Yeguete while falling out of bounds then took a return pass and drilled a three in the corner, kicking off a back-breaking 16-2 run.

Key stat:Missouri started the second half two of 12 from the field, while Florida shot a blistering 57 percent in the second half, going 16 for 28 overall and six of nine from three-point range.
Brown’s quest for 20-point plateauMissouri junior Jabari Brown still has a shot to become the program’s first player to average 20 points per game for the season since Kareem Rush in 2000-01.
Brown’s per-game average, which spiked above 20 points after a 33-point outing Feb. 1 against Kentucky, dipped below 20 after the loss at Tennessee, when he only scored eight.
After scoring 44 points in two games in the SEC Tournament, Brown sits at 19.8 points per game, Mathematically, he’s four points shy of that 20-point plateau.
Of course, that’s not a big stagger for Brown, who has scored 24 or more in 10 games this season, to make up in postseason play.
On Friday, Brown topped 1,000 points in his college career. He now has 1,009 in his career (997 at Missouri in the last two seasons). Had 12 in two games at Oregon as a freshman.
