Plenty of tweets on the court during MU-Arkansas game

Jabari Brown’s only three-pointer of the game was among his 10 points in a 12-2 Missouri run that gave the Tigers a 44-35 lead.

The Tigers made all 19 of their free throws.

Brown drove, spun and rattled in a floater with 12.2 seconds remaining for the game-winning basket.

Arkansas didn’t make a three-pointer in the second half, missing all three attempts.

Not sure if any of the officials has a Twitter account, but they were proficient tweeters Thursday. The crew of Ron Groover, Lee Cassel and Joe Lindsey blew their whistles for fouls 50 times, an equal opportunity 25 times for each team.

Arkansas coach Mike Anderson called the action “disruptive.”

Mizzou took greater advantage of the calls, knocking down 89.5 percent of their free throws (34 of 38). The Tigers made their first 23, matching a school record for consecutive free throws made in a game. They also set a school record with 28 straight, after hitting their final five in last Saturday’s loss at Mississippi.

• MU coach Frank Haith said a year ago, Jabari Brown wouldn’t have made the game-winning shot.

“He could not have made that play last year,” Haith said. “He’s gotten so much better going off the bounce, where he was a (only) a catch-and-shoot guy. He’s been more creative. He’s worked hard at that.”
