The University of Missouri football program continued to deepen and strengthen its defensive front this week with the addition of a former Baylor edge rusher.

The Tigers landed former Bears edge rusher Kamauryn Morgan for their 2026 roster via the NCAA transfer portal. He spent one season in Waco, Texas, playing in five games and recording six tackles as a freshman. He is listed at 6-foot-5, 251 pounds, according to ESPN.

Morgan entered the transfer portal as a four-star prospect in December, originally committing to Virginia Tech before decommitting a week later.

He attended South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas. He was considered a four-star prospect as a prep senior and was listed as the No. 29 overall edge in the nation, as well as the 38th-best player to come out of Texas.

Morgan marks the second transfer addition to coach Lavorn "Chop" Harbin's defensive line in the past week, joining Northern Illinois defensive tackle Mark Hensley.

Morgan adds key edge rushing depth to defensive coordinator Corey Batoon's defense and will likely see the field in a reserved capacity this fall. He will likely slot into the depth chart behind returners Darris Smith and Langden Kitchen.

But his size and pass-rushing ability make him a tantalizing option on the defensive line for his three remaining years of eligibility.
