  • Tackles Jayven Richardson, Johnny Williams, kicker Robert Meyer plan to enter portal.
  • Williams & Richardson’s exit thins tackle depth; Trost out, Cayden Green possibly to NFL.
  • Meyer went 10-for-14 on FGs, replaced late; Blake Craig can return for MU next year.

Missouri’s offseason roster turnover accelerated this week, as offensive tackle Johnny Williams IV, left tackle Jayven Richardson, kicker Robert Meyer and reserve kicker Ryder Goodwin all announced plans to enter the transfer portal when it opens Friday.

The winter window will remain open through Jan. 16.

Williams appeared in just three games and logged 52 total snaps in 2025, working primarily as the backup to veteran right tackle Keagen Trost. With Trost out of eligibility and junior left tackle Cayden Green potentially headed to the NFL, Williams’ departure further thins Mizzou’s tackle depth entering a pivotal offseason.

The same is true for Richardson, who announced his intention to enter the portal after appearing in every game and starting two in 2025. The Hutchinson Community College transfer stepped into the starting lineup when Green missed time, earning starts against South Carolina and UMass.

Richardson logged 261 total snaps and finished the season with a 61.4 Pro Football Focus grade.

With the departures of Williams and Richardson, Missouri is now losing both of its primary second-string offensive tackles from the 2025 season.

Meyer also announced Monday that he plans to enter the portal after an uneven freshman season as Missouri’s primary placekicker. The Colfax, California, product was thrust into the starting role after Blake Craig sustained a torn ACL in the season opener. He went 10-for-14 on field goals and 36-for-38 on extra points across 10 starts.

Meyer was replaced late in the season by walk-on Oliver Robbins for longer attempts and did not appear in MU’s final two games. Craig is expected to return from injury in 2026.

Fellow kicker Goodwin also announced his intention to enter the transfer portal, adding another departure to Mizzou’s special teams unit.

The Tigers are now expected to have around 13 players entering the transfer portal this offseason following the team’s 8-5 campaign and Gator Bowl loss to Virginia.

Kevin Coleman earns postseason invite

Wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. has accepted an invitation to compete in the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl, giving the Missouri senior a chance to practice and play in front of NFL scouts and coaches ahead of the draft.

Coleman led the Tigers in receptions and receiving yards in his lone season in Columbia, catching 66 passes for 732 yards. He finished his collegiate career with 198 catches, 2,501 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns after previous stops at Jackson State, Louisville and Mississippi State.
