One day after the early signing period began for the class of 2026, Missouri Tigers football coach Eli Drinkwitz landed his first class of 2027 commitment.

Three-star quarterback Braylen Warren verbally committed to the Tigers on Thursday. The junior from Omaha, Nebraska also held offers from Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa and other power conference schools.

Warren plays at Omaha Westside High School, which went 10-2 this fall and fell in the NSAA Class A state semifinals to eventual state champion Millard South, which beat Omaha Westside in the state title game last season. Before this fall, the Warriors had been to the state title game in every season since 2019, winning in 2020, 2022 and 2023.

This season, Warren completed 61.9% of his passes for 1,847 yards and 27 touchdowns with six interceptions. He also ran for 288 yards on 68 carries, scoring three rushing touchdowns. Last season, Warren completed 67.1% of his passes for 2,105 yards and 30 touchdowns with eight interceptions.

Mizzou appears to be set at quarterback for the near future, depending what happens in the transfer portal. Matt Zollers has three years of eligibility remaining after this season, and the Tigers signed Gavin Sidwar on Wednesday. He’s a three-star recruit in the class of 2026.
