Mizzou QB Beau Pribula carted off the field after ankle injury vs. Vanderbilt
Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula exited the Tigers’ game against Vanderbilt — a 17-10 Mizzou loss — Saturday with an ankle injury, and is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season, according to a report from CBS Sports.
Pribula was carted off the field following a fourth-and-goal play on the Tigers’ first drive of the second half. The Penn State transfer was stuffed while running the ball, while a Vanderbilt player clung to his left leg.
He was down for some time before being carted to the sideline, where he was helped into a wheelchair. The cast covered his left leg — down to his foot and ankle.
True freshman Matt Zollers replaced Pribula at quarterback on the Tigers’ ensuing drive.
Head coach Eli Drinkwitz told reporters after the game that Pribula has a dislocated ankle and will undergo additional testing Sunday.
“Beau has no broken bones, but he did have an ankle injury that had to be popped back in,” Drinkwitz said. “Don’t have a timetable for his return, but it could be a while.”
