Missouri’s D’Angelo Allen pleads not guilty to peace disturbance
Missouri freshman basketball player D’Angelo Allen has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge stemming from an alleged altercation in the early-morning hours Sept. 14.
Allen, 18, a freshman from Dallas, was arrested along with fellow Tigers freshman Jakeenan Gant and another man on suspicion of third-degree assault.
Last week, Allen and Gant were formally charged with a peace disturbance, first offense. It is a B misdemeanor.
Allen, through his attorney, entered a not guilty plea on Friday and he is scheduled for trial Dec. 3, though a plea deal remains a possibility.
Gant, 18, a forward from Georgia who also is charged with peace disturbance, has yet to enter a plea and is scheduled for arraignment Thursday in Boone County court.
