Mizzou football is courting USC QB but losing O-line star from Lee’s Summit North
Quarterback Miller Moss, formerly of USC, will pay an official visit to the Missouri Tigers next week, per On3’s Pete Nakos.
Moss is also expected to visit Louisville next week, as the transfer portal opens Monday.
In four seasons at USC, the redshirt junior put up 3,469 passing yards, 27 passing touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He spent most of his time with the Trojans as a backup to current Chicago Bears quarterback and former No. 1 overall draft pick Caleb Williams.
Moss started nine games for USC in 2024 and threw for 2,555 yards and 18 touchdowns with nine interceptions. He also scored two touchdowns on the ground. He’s On3’s fifth-highest-ranked player and second-highest-ranked quarterback in the transfer portal. Former Liberty signal-called Kaidon Salter is the only QB ranked higher.
Next season will mark the end of an era for Mizzou because — for the first time since the 2021 season — Brady Cook will not be the Tigers’ starting quarterback. Cook’s final game before he embarks on the next chapter of his life will be MU’s bowl appearance.
Missouri was already expected be an aggressive player in the transfer quarterback market.
Redshirt freshman Sam Horn was sidelined for the entirety of the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. Drew Pyne is expected to return, but his production for the Tigers this season was lackluster.
Freshman quarterback Aidan Glover redshirted his first season with Mizzou and did not see any game time. And Matt Zollers, 247Sports’ Composite Ranking’s No. 7 QB in the class of 2025, is coming off an ankle injury that suffered during his senior season of high school football.
Moss — the son of architects Eric Owen Moss and Emily Kovner Moss — has just one year of eligibility remaining. He would essentially act as a one-year rental, ideally enabling the Tigers to stay in contention and provide their younger QBs with leadership and experience.
Armand Membou declares for 2025 NFL Draft
Junior offensive lineman Armand Membou from Lee’s Summit North is declaring for the NFL Draft, he confirmed via social media Friday. He’s also opting out of the Tigers’ bowl game.
Memboud started 30 games for MU, including every game over the last two seasons. A former four-star recruit, he was named to the preseason watch list for the Outland Trophy (nation’s top interior lineman).
Across 338 pass-blocking sets this season, Membou allowed just one sack. He’s a top-100 prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft class and could hear his name called as early as the first round.
“To Tiger Nation — from gold outs and sell outs to snow outs, thank you,” Membou said via his X social-media account. “This kid from Lee’s Summit felt your support from Day One and hopefully I’ve made you proud. Please keep believing in and supporting the program. Fans are a big part of why we play.”
