Meet the 17 new Missouri Tigers football additions as early signing period opens

College football’s early signing period opened Wednesday, which means that recruits across the country are free to sign with the schools to which they committed.

The early period runs through Friday, and that is when most players will sign their national letters of intent. Some will wait until the regular signing period opens in February, but most of Mizzou’s class is expected to put ink to paper this week.

All 17 of Missouri’s known commitments signed with the Tigers on Wednesday. There is also the possibility that others will end up choosing Mizzou.

As an example, tight end Jeremiah Jones, a Nebraska commit, has been heavily recruited by the Tigers over the last few months. On Nov. 22, he shut down his recruitment with a social media post saying he was planning to sign with Nebraska.

But that post has since been deleted. Wiltfong logged a prediction Wednesday saying Jones could flip to MU. There is no timeline on his decision.

Not all late-breaking decisions have gone Missouri’s way, of course. Javion Butts, a safety from Georgia who visited Columbia for last weekend’s MU-Arkansas game, stayed true to his commitment to North Carolina on Wednesday.

Another player MU wanted, four-star edge rusher Tobi Haastrup from Houston, announced his choice of Oregon over Mizzou, USC and many others Wednesday live on ESPN2.

Here is the current list of Missouri signees:

QB Matt Zollers

Matt Zollers, the crown jewel of Missouri’s class, signed with the Tigers on Wednesday morning. The 6-foot-4 quarterback from Pennsylvania is ranked as the 74th-best player and the seventh-best QB in his class. He had offers from Georgia, Florida, Penn State and Nebraska but committed to Mizzou in April.

A four-star defensive end, Hilson decommitted from Florida State in September and received an offer from Mizzou Nov. 20. He visited Columbia for the Tigers’ game against Arkansas last weekend, then accepted and signed MU’s offer during a mid-afternoon ceremony on Wednesday. Texas, Texas A&M and Syracuse were among the other finalists for Hilson’s services.

RB Marquise Davis

At 6:11 a.m. Wednesday, Ohio running back Marquise Davis became the first member of Missouri’s 2025 class to sign with the Tigers.
