Three-star 2025 prospect Dakotah Terrell announces commitment to Mizzou football team
It was all quiet on the recruiting front for Missouri until Monday night, when three-star athlete Dakotah Terrell announced his verbal commitment to the Tigers on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
Terrell is the first commitment in Mizzou’s 2025 recruiting class since July.
Terrell, a senior at Pocola High School in Pocola, Oklahoma, is the 776th-ranked player and 38th-best tight end in the class of 2025, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is expected to play tight end for Mizzou and had offers from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Texas A&M and Michigan, among others.
He received an offer from the Tigers on July 27 and was in Columbia for a visit during Mizzou’s 38-0 win over Buffalo on Sept. 7.
The 6-foot-9, 210-pounder finished his junior prep season with 29 catches for 549 yards and seven touchdowns. Terrell has helped his team to a 3-1 start to the 2024 season. He also plays basketball and participates in track and field.
The Tigers’ 2025 recruiting class is up to 18 commits and ranks 16th in the country, according to 247Sports.
Game time announced for matchup at UMass
The Southeastern Conference announced earlier Monday that Mizzou’s Oct. 12 game at UMass will kick off at 11 a.m. and air on ESPN2.
It will be the second straight 11 a.m. road game for the No. 9 Tigers, who travel to College Station, Texas, this week to take on No. 25 Texas A&M. That game will air on ABC.
