It’s Family Weekend for Missouri Tigers. Here’s where to go, what to do in CoMo

The University of Missouri is hosting Family Weekend starting Friday.

The 2-0 Missouri Tigers will play the Boston College Eagles in a sold-out football game at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at Faurot Field. MU is ranked No. 6 in the AP Top 25 Poll following its win against Buffalo.

Some local favorites are opening to the public earlier for fans to enjoy a beverage and a bite to eat before kickoff. Some of these restaurants include The Heidelberg, Campus Bar and Grill, Shiloh Bar and Grill, Booche’s and Bud’s Classic BBQ.

Some restaurants that are keeping their normal hours and still opening before the game are Las Margaritas Downtown, El Oso Mexican Grill, Addison’s Downtown, Broadway Brewery, Flat Branch Pub and Brewing, Günter Hans and Glenn’s Cafe.

MU families can stay busy with several events held by the university throughout the weekend.

MU Student Health and Well-Being is hosting family photos with Truman the Tiger from 3-5 p.m. Friday. Photos will be taken at the first-floor fireplace in the MU Student Center and shared on the Mizzou Families Facebook page.

MizzouRec is hosting indoor and outdoor games, tours and demos for MU Wheelchair Basketball from 5-8 p.m. Friday. The first 500 people to arrive will receive a free game day rally towel, and registration is available on MU’s website.

MU has scheduled numerous other celebrations, such as a concert at First Baptist Church and discounts at the Mizzou Store. A full list of Family Weekend activities can be found on the MU website.
