Missouri Tigers coaches & athletes plan ‘tour’ stop in Kansas City area April 15
The Missouri Tigers are kicking off a “Come Home Tour” in April: a month-long, seven-stop caravan intended to give fans a chance to get to know some of MU’s coaches, players and athletic officials.
Will the Tigers have a new athletic director by the time the tour visits the Kansas City area? KC’s tour stop is set for mid-April.
The Tigers have been without an athletic boss since Desiree Reed-Francois stunned Mizzou by announcing she was leaving for the same job at the University of Arizona. Marcy Girton, senior associate athletic director for football administration, is serving as MU’s interim athletic director.
The Come Home Tour is scheduled to make a stop at the Chicken N Pickle location on W. 135th St. in Overland Park on April 15. The events run from 6-8 p.m.
The lineup of MU coaches and players will be determined by availability, according to a news release announcing the tour. Fans should visit MUTigers.com/ComeHOMETour to register, but the events are free and open to the public.
