Current and former MU swimmer earn bronze at Pan American Games

Mizzou junior Carter Griffin and former All-American Dominique Bouchard both won silver medals in the 200 backstroke Wednesday night at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto.

Griffin, who was competing in his first international competition, finished in a personal-best time of 1 minute, 58.18 seconds.

Bouchard took silver in the women’s 200 backstroke in a time of 2:09.74. Bouchard had the top time in prelims (2:09.59) but Canadian Hilary Caldwell, a former Olympian, earned the gold in finals.
