About Auburn (17-8, 7-5 SEC):

Following a loss to Alabama on Saturday, Auburn moved into a tie with Missouri and Kentucky for fourth place in the Southeastern Conference standings. The Tigers led the Crimson Tide with six minutes to play, but Alabama finished the game on a 16-7 run for a 77-69 win.

Auburn will play host to Missouri in the midst of a three-game losing streak. Auburn lost back-to-back road games to Tennessee and Texas A&M before falling to the Crimson Tide. Much like Missouri, Auburn started the season hot, winning its first eight games. Auburn really struggles from behind the arc at 29.2%. That ranks No. 351 in the country. However, Auburn is No. 6 in the nation in blocked shots and No. 64 in rebounds which could pose problems for Missouri.

About Missouri (19-6, 7-5):

Missouri is coming off its biggest win of the season. The Tigers knocked off No. 6 Tennessee on Saturday in dramatic fashion with a buzzer-beater from Deandre Gholston. After Tennessee guard Santiago Vescovi missed both free throws, Gholston dribbled down the court before draining a deep three-pointer from the Tennessee logo as time expired. Missouri led by as many as 17 points in the second half before the Volunteers stormed back and took a six-point lead. The victory was Missouri’s fifth ranked win and first over a top-10 opponent.

Missouri was again without guard Isiaih Mosley against Tennessee, and it seems as if the Tigers might just have to prepare as if they will not have him against Auburn. Missouri will be going for its third straight win and will be trying to boost its SEC Tournament seeding and potential NCAA Tournament placing.
