With two words, Raytown High offensive lineman Logan Reichert announced his college football plans.

“I’m home,” tweeted Reichert, only he did it in all caps.

Home is the University of Missouri. Reichert selected the Tigers over Oregon.

This is a big get for Mizzou, based on Rivals.com recruiting rankings. Reichert, who stands 6-foot-7, 345 pounds, is Missouri’s fifth-rated player and No. 87 nationally.

He was first team all-state last season helping Raytown to the third round of the Class 5 playoffs.

Oregon made a strong push. Ducks head coach Dan Lanning is a Kansas Citian who played linebacker at William Jewell and started his coaching career at Park Hill South.

In the end, Reichert chose to stay home and becomes the program’s 11th commitment in the Class of 2023, and the second from a Missouri high school.
