Missouri had its turn at the SEC Kickoff media days event in Atlanta this week.

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz, defensive back Martez Manuel, defensive lineman Isaiah McGuire and wide receiver Barrett Banister all took the stage, and you’ll hear from those players today on The Star’s SportsBeat KC podcast.

Manuel and McGuire spoke about a defense that looks to make big strides this season despite welcoming its third defensive coordinator in three years. After three straight years of break-even records in the regular season, the Tigers say they’re ready to break through and become a contender in their division.

Banister, who said there was no doubt he would return for a sixth season of eligibility, also discusses the responsibility of being a leader..
