The Big 12/SEC Challenge for Missouri becomes a home-and-away series.

The Tigers will take on Iowa State in Columbia on Jan. 28, 2023 in one of 10 games between the conferences. Last season, the teams met in Ames, with the Cyclones taking a 67-50 victory.

Iowa State went on to a terrific season in coach T.J. Otzelberger’s first year. The program, which finished 2-22 the previous year, reached the Sweet 16 last season.

Now, Missouri seeks a similar turnaround. The Tigers have a new coach in Dennis Gates and a roster full of newcomers, including Missouri State transfer Isiaih Mosley

Iowa State also will welcome in several transfers and landed one of the nation’s top defensive players in Osun Osunniyi from St. Bonaventure. But the Cyclones lost Big 12 freshman of the year Tyrese Hunter to Texas.
