Isiaih Mosley is ‘coming home.’ Former Columbia prep star transfers to Mizzou Tigers
Isiaih Mosley’s commitment to Missouri is the biggest roster addition for new men’s basketball coach Dennis Gates.
Mosley, a Columbia native who averaged 20.4 points at Missouri State last season, posted on his Instagram account “I’m coming home.”
Mosley was standout player at Columbia’s Rock Bridge High, and has been a scoring force for the Bears. Over three seasons, Mosley averaged 15.9 points. He led the Missouri Valley Conference in scoring each of the past two seasons.
He’s also an excellent shooter. The two-time all-conference selection made 42.7% of his three-pointers and 50.4% of all shots from the field last season. Over his career, Mosley has made 41% of his threes and 49.8% of all shots.
The 6-foot-5 Mosley averaged 6.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists last season.
He’ll join a Missouri team that brings back three veterans from last season, led by forward Kobe Brown. He topped the Tigers in scoring (12.5) and rebounding (7.6).
But the bulk of the roster will be newcomers. Mosley is among six transfers from Division I programs. Also arriving are two junior college transfers and freshman Aiden Shaw from Blue Valley.
Mississippi State was also in the running for Mosley.
