Missouri Tigers women’s basketball forward Hayley Frank and teammate Lauren Hansen, a guard, share Southeastern Conference Co-Players of the Week honors after last Thursday’s upset of top-ranked South Carolina.

Frank and Hansen scored 21 points apiece in Mizzou’s 70-69 overtime victory over the Gamecocks, the program’s first win against a No. 1-ranked opponent.

Frank’s bucket cut South Carolina’s lead to one point with less than a minute left, and Hansen’s layup in overtime gave the Tigers (12-2) the victory. With multiple MU players sidelined for the game because COVID issues, Frank played a career-high 43 minutes, Hansen a career-most 42.

Frank is averaging 15.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game this season. She’s shot 45.7% from three-point range and 86.5% from the line. Hansen averages 11.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists, shooting 38.8% from long distance and 76.5% from the line.

The SEC award is the first for both players. They join teammates Aijha Blackwell and Izzy Higginbottom as weekly SEC award-winners this season.

The Tigers are next scheduled to play host to Auburn at 7 p.m. Thursday in Columbia.
