Coach Eliah Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers secured a key commitment in the trenches Monday.

Jae’vien Gill, a three-star defensive lineman out of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, announced his pledge to Mizzou.

“I appreciate every coach that has been recruiting me this far, but after talking to Coach [Al] Davis and the staff at Mizzou for a great length of time, I would like to announce my offer and 100% commitment to the University of Missouri,” Gill wrote in a social media post.

A native of Philadelphia, Mississippi, Gill is listed at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds. He is ranked as the No. 66 junior college prospect in the country and No. 15 defensive lineman, according to the 247 Sports Composite.

Gill signed with Central Florida as a member of the Knights’ class of 2021, but left following a coaching change and went back to junior college. In nine games played with Mississippi Gulf Coast this season, Gill has produced 25 total tackles (11 solo), one sack and three tackles for loss.

Gill is the 16th player to pledge to Mizzou for the 2022 class and the third on the defensive line, joining four-star recruit Marquis Gracial and three-star Jalen Marshall.
