Mizzou basketball gets New York forward as third member of 2021 hoops-recruiting class

The Missouri Tigers and men’s basketball coach Cuonzo Martin are heating up on the recruiting trail, landing their second 2021 commitment in three days.

Three-star forward Sean Durugordon announced his commitment Wednesday to Martin’s Tigers, becoming the third member of Mizzou’s 2021 recruiting class. 247Sports ranks Durugordon as the No. 237 recruit in the country. The 6-foot-7 Durugordon picked Mizzou over other offers from the likes of Auburn and Arizona State.

Durugordon is the second recruit to commit to the Tigers this week, joining forward Kaleb Brown. Three-star guard Anton Brookshire, from Springfield, rounds out Mizzou’s 2021 class currently.

The Tigers lose five seniors after the upcoming 2020-21 season in Dru Smith, Mark Smith, Drew Buggs, Jeremiah Tilmon and Mitchell Smith. There’s also a chance Xavier Pinson leaves early for the pros.
