Mizzou football grabs Tennessee running back for 16th commitment of 2021 class
The Missouri Tigers landed three-star running back BJ Harris Thursday.
Harris announced his commitment via Twitter, becoming Mizzou’s 16th pledge of its 2021 recruiting class. 247Sports ranks Harris as the No. 731 prospect in the nation. He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 193 pounds and chose Mizzou over offers from Nebraska, Kentucky and other schools.
This latest commitment for MU coach Eliah Drinkwitz’s staff marks their sixth pledge in eight days. And the Tigers vaulted further up the national rankings, with Rivals and 247Sports slotting them at No. 19.
Harris, a Chattanooga, Tennessee native, is Mizzou’s first offensive pledge since tight end Ryan Hoerstkamp and running back Taj Butts committed on April 25. It was a run of nine straight defensive commitment for the Tigers.
