About Alabama (9-7, 2-2 SEC): The Crimson Tide is coming off its best win of the season, an upset over previously undefeated No. 4 Auburn. Alabama is one of the best offensive teams in the nation, averaging 83.2 points per game, fourth in the nation. On the flip side, Alabama allows 77.8 points per game, ranked 328th. They’re led by guards John Petty Jr. and Kira Lewis Jr., both averaging more than 16 points per game. KenPom has Alabama at No. 44.

About Missouri (9-7, 1-3 SEC): The Tigers are coming off a blowout loss at Mississippi State, their worst loss of the season. They showed little life, sorely missing forward Jeremiah Tilmon, especially as a post defender. Guard Dru Smith, Mizzou’s leading scorer, made just one basket against the Bulldogs as nearly every Tiger struggled. Mizzou’s looking for consistency after two wildly varying performances against Florida and Mississippi State. KenPom has Mizzou at No. 71.

Prediction: Alabama is essentially the opposite of Missouri. The Crimson Tide score a lot but also allow a ton of points. Part of that is pace as Alabama is third nationally at 81.1 possessions per game. Missouri’s 68.4 possessions a game is tied for 317th. Styles differ considerably, which is worth keeping an eye on. We’ll say Alabama wins but nobody really knows what to expect of this Mizzou team. The Tigers’ peak is dangerous, but their low is one of the worst power conference teams in the nation.

Alabama 79, Missouri 70
