Louisiana safety commits to play for Mizzou football team
Missouri football received an oral commitment Friday from Ishmael Burdine, a safety from Slidell, La.
ESPN ranks Burdine as a four-star recruit in the Class of 2019. Rivals and 247 rank him a three-star. He holds offers from multiple Power Five schools, including Mississippi State and Arkansas.
Burdine has helped Slidell get off to a 4-2 start this year. He has 31 tackles and an interception, according to MaxPreps. He had four interceptions in 2017 and has played on Slidell’s varsity team since his freshman year.
Missouri currently has four players on its roster from Louisiana, including defensive back Adam Sparks.
