Services announced for former Missouri basketball player Jeff Warren

Former Missouri basketball player Jeff Warren will be laid to rest during a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church in Olathe.

The family also will receive well-wishers from 5-8 p.m. Thursday during a visitation at Grace United Methodist, 11485 S. Ridgeview Road in Olathe.

Warren, 44, a native of Litchfield, Mich., died last Friday after battling lymphoma.

He was with the Tigers during 1989-1993 and still owns the program record for consecutive field goals made with 24 in a row during a four-game stretch in 1991-1992.

Warren, who played professionally in Australia, also ranked second in Missouri history with a 61.4 shooting percentage.

He is survived by his wife, the former Susan Hatz, and two sons, Mitchell Jeffrey and Bennett Nathaniel.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Grace United Methodist or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
