Four-star wide receiver gives Mizzou football its first 2019 commitment
Missouri football’s class of 2019 recruiting effort is off to a strong start.
Shamar Nash, a four-star wide receiver, committed to the Tigers on Thursday. According to Rivals, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound wideout is the No. 114 overall prospect in the class of 2019 and the No. 21 ranked receiver in his class.
Nash picked Mizzou over offers from South Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas, among others. He visited MU for Mizzou’s game against Auburn this past season, when Josh Heupel was still Missouri’s offensive coordinator. Heupel has since left to become the head coach at Central Florida, but Nash committed to the Tigers anyway.
“I Shamar Nash am 1000% committed to the university of Missouri!” Nash tweeted.
Nash — who is from the Memphis, Tenn., area — is currently enrolled at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
