Missouri baseball, softball notch top-10 wins
Missouri’s baseball and softball teams knocked off top-10 opponents Saturday in SEC play.
The Tigers’ baseball team, which is ranked No. 23, outlasted top-ranked Texas A&M 3-2 in College Station, Texas, ending the Aggies’ 21-game home winning streak and evening the series at 1-1 ahead of Sunday’s finale.
MU improved to 20-8 and 6-2 in conference, matching last season’s totals for wins in both categories.
Meanwhile, Missouri softball powered past No. 8 Auburn 5-4 behind senior first baseman Kelsea Roth’s walk-off, two-run home run in the eighth inning Saturday at University Field in Columbia.
The two sets of Tigers meet in the rubber match of a three-game series at noon Sunday in a game that will be televised live on the SEC Network.
