Nostalgia will be all the rage during the opening week of the Missouri men’s basketball season.
After the Tigers kick off 2017-18 with a previously announced home game against former Big 12 rival Iowa State on Nov. 10 at Mizzou Arena, new coach Cuonzo Martin will return to Pac-12 country Nov. 16 for a showdown at Utah.
Mizzou lugs a 35-game road losing skid into Martin’s first season. He spent the last three years as the Utes’ Pac-12 rival at California, which went 3-4 against Utah during Martin’s tenure.
The Golden Bears were winless in three trips to face the Utes at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City with Martin as coach, losing by an average of 18 points in those meetings.
MU also will play Nov. 23-26 in the AdvoCare Invitational in Orlando, Fla., as well as Nov. 30 at Central Florida.
The Tigers are scheduled to play host to Stephen F. Austin on Dec. 19 and will play Illinois between Dec. 20-23 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Final details for the annual Braggin’ Rights Game against Illinois have yet to be announced.
