▪ ABOUT MISSOURI (9-22, 3-15 SEC): Offense has been a challenge for the Tigers. Missouri (57.3) and South Carolina (59.9) were the only SEC teams to average fewer than 60 points per game during conference play. Missouri has not topped 70 points since a Feb. 14 loss against Mississippi State, a span of six games. The Tigers have yet to reach 80 points in any game this season, which hasn’t happened at MU since the 1951-52 season. On the bright side, sophomore forward Johnathan Williams III tied with Kentucky’s Karl-Anthony Towns for sixth in the SEC with six double-doubles this season.
▪ ABOUT SOUTH CAROLINA (15-15, 6-12 SEC): Expect the Gamecocks to try to get to the free-throw line. South Carolina has the lowest shooting percentage from the field at 37.2 percent during conference play, but coach Frank Martin’s squad is the SEC’s second-best at the line, shooting 75.2 percent. The Gamecocks also are one of the conference’s top offensive-rebounding teams, ranking third in SEC play with an average of 12.2 per game.
