▪ ABOUT MISSOURI (9-21, 3-14 SEC): Sophomore forward Johnathan Williams III lit up the Bulldogs for a career-high 27 points, including 24 in the second half, on Feb. 14 at Mizzou Arena. Unfortunately for Williams, it came in a 77-74 loss, but that was the Tigers’ first game without fellow sophomore Wes Clark. Obviously, a similar performance from Williams would go a long way toward reversing the result. Senior Keith Shamburger, who scored 21 on Tuesday against Auburn, had 15 points with six assists and no turnovers in that game.

▪ ABOUT MISSISSIPPI STATE (12-18, 5-12 SEC): The Bulldogs haven’t won since the last meeting with Missouri, dropping five straight and seven of the last eight. Coach Rick Ray’s squad also has lost four in a row at home. Mississippi State’s last win against a team other than the Tigers was a 71-66 victory on Feb. 3 at Tennessee. Senior forward Roquez Johnson torched Missouri for 22 points in the earlier meeting. He’s only scored 28 total points in the five games since, but there’s no doubt he’d love to have another big game on senior night.
