▪ WHEN/WHERE: 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mizzou Arena in Columbia
▪ TV/RADIO: SEC Network; KMBZ (98.1 FM)
▪ ABOUT MISSOURI (8-21, 2-14 SEC): Missouri must find a way to match up with forward Cinmeon Bowers, who scored 20 points with 14 rebounds in an 85-79 victory Jan. 10 at Auburn. In fact, MU’s defense generally needs to improve from the last meeting, when Auburn shot 48.1 percent from the field, the fourth-worst percentage Missouri has allowed in conference play. Senior Keith Shamburger scored a season-high 21 at Auburn, but MU needs more production from its big men — Johnathan Williams III, Jakeenan Gant, Ryan Rosburg and Keanau Post — who combined for only 22 points in the last meeting.
▪ ABOUT AUBURN (12-17, 4-12 SEC): Coach Bruce Pearl’s Tigers limp to Columbia with a four-game losing streak in tow. Auburn has lost six of its last seven and 10 of its last 12. Of course, the two victories during that stretch came at LSU and Georgia, so road games don’t seem to bother Auburn. Senior Antoine Mason, a transfer from Niagara, isn’t expected to play after the death of his father, Anthony, last weekend. Sophomore Tahj Shamsid-Deen also is out because of a shoulder injury. Senior KT Harrell is the SEC’s leading scorer at 17.7 points per game.
