The Missouri basketball team will get an early test to the season as it will open the Maui Invitational by taking on Arizona.

The Wildcats are the headliners of the tournament, and they will play the Tigers on Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. The game will be shown on ESPN2.

A potential opponent in the next round of the tournament for Missouri and new coach Kim Anderson is former Big 12 rival Kansas State, which opens against Purdue earlier in the day on Nov. 24.

Mizzou and Arizona will meet for the third time. The Tigers won 76-73 on Dec. 29, 1984, in the Hawaii Pacific Invitational in Honolulu, but lost 92-72 in the NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight on March 26, 1994 in Los Angeles.

The Tigers and Wildcats are also scheduled to meet in 2015-16 and 2016-17 as part of a home and home series.
